Research and development represent close to one third of all Arctur's activities. During last three years we have steadily increased the ammount of our annual R&D expenditures, and have registered our own Research Department with the Slovenian Research Agency. We are involved in joint R&D projects with reasearch institutes, universities and other R&D organizations from Slovenia and abroad on regular basis. We are employing auspicious personnel, and are constantly striving to further improve the innovativeness and creativity of our staff.

Mayor areas of interest for our R&D activities are:
  • development of new web-based tools and applications, interoperability, combining of different platforms and communicational channels, web 2.0 solutions;

  • web-support for business processes and project management, effects of internet technologies on corporate organization, web marketing;

  • web-support for organization and management of educational institutions

  • high performance computing, paralelisation

  • transfer of basic applicative mathematics research results into applicative IT solutions;

  • web-based communication, universal accessibility and usability of web technologies and contents, e-participation

  • web-support for cultural activities, and protection of cultural heritage, e-archaeology.


  • We invite commercial companies, NGOs, and R&D organizations to cooperate with Arctur in research and developement projects in ICT field. Students are also welcome, to work on their graduation or BsC thesis in co-operation with our top experts.
