Arctur contributes to raising knowledge about HPC services – new training materials are available to everyone!
The SME / HPC project is in its final stages. One of the purposes of the project was also to develop training programmes and materials for representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises, intending to learn through short training modules the benefits of using high-performance computers (HPC - High-Performance Computing) in the development of innovative products and services. The project is being implemented by a consortium of 8 partners from 4 countries (Waterford Institute of Technology, Arctur, University of Northumbria, Faculty of Information Studies Novo mesto, Ambrosys, Uefiscdi, ANCD and Vega Press Ltd).
As a provider of HPC services and a representative of small and medium-sized enterprises, Arctur contributed to the development of key project outcomes, including training programmes and materials that will enable partners from higher educational institutions to conduct training on high-performance computing for both students and representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises. Training programmes and materials are publicly available through the project website. Their usability and structure are suitable and appropriate both for students and entrepreneurs. There is a generic version of materials that is suitable for localization in any regional environment at the global level, and three regionally specific versions, upgraded with additional content addressing certain regional specifics related to the offer and the possibilities of using super-computer services.
