Web3Tour Demo Day Showcases the Future of Cultural Tourism in the Web3 Era

The Web3Tour Demo Day has wrapped up a high-energy, future-focused networking event that brought together pioneers in digital innovation, cultural tourism, and blockchain technology. Held entirely in the Metaverse, the event showcased how Web3 technologies are reshaping the tourism landscape—making it more immersive, sustainable, and digitally connected.
The day featured an engaging programme of keynote speeches, expert panels, startup showcases, and virtual networking. The agenda included a panel discussion on “The Future of Cultural Tourism in the Web 3.0 Era,”featuring leading voices in tourism innovation. Prodromos Monastiridis delivered a powerful keynote on the convergence of marketing innovation and cultural engagement in the Web3 space. Game-changing participants took the virtual stage to present their pioneering Web3 solutions designed for the tourism industry, while networking sessions unfolded in the Metaverse, offering a glimpse into the immersive future of professional collaboration.
A distinguished jury and panel of experts joined the event to guide and evaluate the startup presentations. Among them were Maria Gabriella Anagnostopoulos, a business strategist and startup mentor; Dimitris Dimitriadis, a futurist and Metaverse strategist; and Jaka Godejša, a researcher specializing in blockchain and tourism. Their insights helped frame the critical dialogue around how digital transformation, decentralization, and immersive technologies can empower cultural tourism across Europe and beyond.

Adding to the momentum, the Web3Tour consortium recently held its final in-person meeting in Nicosia, Cyprus.Partners reflected on the successful completion of the Accelerator Programme and discussed the strategic steps ahead as they continue to develop tools and models to support digital and sustainable transformation in the tourism sector.
