Master Builder Plečnik’s Heritage
UNESCO World Heritage works of the most famous Slovenian architect – in virtual and augmented reality

Start — end | January 2020 — December 2021 |
Client | Tourism Ljubljana |
Use Case
To commemorate the addition of selected works by the architect Jože Plečnik to the UNESCO World Heritage List, Ljubljana Tourism decided to digitally open the doors to several of Plečnik’s best known works, including Žale cemetery, St. Michael Church, and the National and University Library).
Plečnik’s works were reinterpreted through both VR and AR apps (designed for use with a VR headset and mobile tablet respectively) to create a 5-star "edutainment" experience based on Plečnik's Ljubljana (Slovenia Unique Experience).
Since then, the project and its results received international praise – the project even helped convince the European Cultural Tourism Network (ECTN) to include Ljubljana in its list of Top 100 Destination Sustainability Stories.
