AI4VET4AI Presented at the BEST Event
The AI4VET4AI project was presented on 19 November 2025 at the BEST – Business Empowerment for Smart Tourism event, organised by Primorski Tehnološki Park at Zeleni Center Lijak near Nova Gorica within the Interreg Italy–Slovenia programme. The event brought together tourism providers, innovators, and experts to explore how digital tools and advanced technologies are reshaping the tourism ecosystem.
During the workshop session led by Martina Golob and Nataša Hribernik from Arctur, the AI4VET4AI project was introduced as a strategic European initiative aimed at strengthening artificial intelligence competences within vocational education and training (VET). The presenters highlighted the project’s mission to support knowledge transfer, improve the digital readiness of educational institutions, and promote the adoption of AI-based learning methodologies.
In addition to the project presentation, Martina and Nataša discussed how AI is increasingly adding value to the tourism sector. Their contribution focused on the key benefits of AI, such as improved user experience, automation of processes, enhanced decision-making, and the creation of personalised digital services. They also showcased practical examples and real-world use cases illustrating how various AI tools—from chatbots and content-generation systems to recommendation engines and immersive digital experiences—can support tourism providers in developing more competitive and innovative services.
“Participants were especially interested in the practical demonstrations we presented, particularly how AI tools can support promotional activities, enable personalised visitor experiences, and improve prediction and evaluation processes,” said Martina Golob.
By engaging participants in meaningful discussion and sharing concrete examples, the BEST event proved to be an effective platform for disseminating the objectives and activities of AI4VET4AI. It strengthened awareness of the project’s significance for educators, trainers, and tourism professionals, and helped promote its role in advancing digital skills and AI-supported learning
