CLASSICA Webinar 2025 Available Online
Online, 8 April 2025 – The CLASSICA consortium recently held a free webinar titled “Validating AI in classifying cancer in real-time surgery,” bringing together international experts to discuss the latest advances in AI-assisted cancer detection and surgical decision-making. The event drew strong interest, with 736 people registering and 212 joining live.

Chaired by Prof. Alberto Arezzo, the webinar featured three presentations covering key aspects of CLASSICA’s work:
- Prof. Felix Aigner presented current approaches to transanal management of complex rectal polyps.
- Samo Eržen (Arctur) introduced CLASSICA’s digital system for real-time classification of rectal cancer during endoscopy.
- Prof. Ronan Cahill shared recent validation results and outlined the next steps of the ongoing CLASSICA clinical trials.
