Tourism Impact Model presented at the opening of the Digital centre of Slovenia
The honorary speaker at the opening was the minister of Economic Development and Technology, Zdravko Počivalšek, minister of Public Administration, Boštjan Koritnik, minister of Education, Science and Sport, dr. Simona Kustec, director of SPIRIT, dr. Tomaž Kostanjevec, general director of Internationalisation, Entrepreneurship and Technology, Jernej Salecl, director of Digital innovation centre Slovenia, mag. Katja Mohar Bastar and the Chairman of the Board BTC, Jože Mermal.
The Digital centre is one of the first activities of the Slovenian presidency to the European Council in the second part of 2021. Slovenia is presented as a country that highly relies on economical development and innovations. The purpose of the centre is to promote Technology for people thinking. This includes digitalization, AI, robotics, 5.0 Society, cybersecurity, HCP, innovative technologies, innovations, mobility, energetics, smart cities and communities, sustainable society and economy. The centre will connect the best Slovenian companies, organizations and individuals. Moreover, it will bring new technologies to the public and will offer new educational programs for various target groups and will establish new opportunities for presenting Slovenian knowledge and technologies on the national and international level. The centre is available in BTC City in Ljubljana and also virtually.
