Arctur contributing to modernisation of Higher Educational Institutions in Montenegro
The digital economy calls for the transformation of businesses, governments, education, and societies. DigNest project, funded with the support of the European Commission in the frame of the Erasmus+ program, is focused to support the modernisation of HEIs (Higher Educational Institutions) in Montenegro by enhancing their cooperation with wider businesses in order to maximise the benefits from digital technologies in priority areas of agriculture and health while ensuring that students, graduates, future experts, and the workforce are adapting to the digital area.
Digital research centres and universities have a key leading role in the digitisation process of industries, strengthening cooperation with national economies, capable to provide expert knowledge and support to their local industries, as well as helping them to cooperate with innovators, investors and customers all across Europe and globally. According to the DigNest project, collaboration and networking are essential to ensure best practices can be exported to other regions, and missing expertise can be imported, ensuring an efficient innovation ecosystem. That is a reason why the DigNest project is supporting the digitisation of HEIs in Montenegro by sharing experiences, best practices and expertise with other European partners such as Arctur (Slovenia), Comtrade (Serbia), Hochschule Furtwangen University (Germany), Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary) and National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece). The project is coordinated by the University of Donja Gorica (Montenegro).
Arctur as an active actor in the field of digitisation and use of advanced ICT technologies is participating in the project with the aim to bring added value to consortium contributing to the synergy of the academic sector and national authorities with SMEs, sharing expertise in digitisation as well as their experience in cooperating with HEIs.
